W08 - Journal Post

      This week has flown by - a lot of issues at my work this week that needed to be dealt with, and I also spent the whole Saturday helping my wife run a dance recital for our good friend.  Sure glad it's Sunday tomorrow!  

     I really enjoyed this week's reading assignments.  I always love reading and listening to talks by Jeffrey R Holland - I would have to say he's probably the #1 apostle that I look forward to hearing from when conference rolls around!  There's something about how his talks resonate with my soul.  I firmly believe that the Savior instituted 12 apostles so that all personalities will have something resonate with them depending on the message and who that messenger is!

     The biggest take away for me this week from all the reading material was to make sure that we don't simply give up when faced with difficult situations.  It takes time sometimes to ensure things are going to work out okay and it takes effort on our part to help ensure things do work out okay.  It's not enough to just pray for help and then do nothing on our parts.  That's not how it works.  The Lord expects us to put forth our best efforts before any miracles occur.  

    These talks were definitely a great reminder for not only what we should be doing as entrepreneurs, but as children of a loving Heavenly Father who wants what's best for us.
